Notes - 1 - In 1399 Sir Adam Mure held Pokellie Castle and upon his death it passed to his second son, the eldest obtaining Rowallan. The lands of Limflare and Lowdoune Hill were included in the inheritance.

2 - Based on the tenure of Nemphlar (LKS) by Edmund Comyn of Kilbride (k. 1314) and by Adam Mure, apparent grandson of Walter Comyn, in 1393, it is conjectured that Walter Comyn of Rowallan was likely descended from a younger brother of Edmund.
This may have been Walter Comyn of Peeblesshire (possibly a younger brother of Edmund of Kilbride, whose fealty was recorded at Berwick on 28 August 1296.
Joseph Bain wrote, "when Sir Adam Mure procured, in 1393, the erection of Polkelly and other lands, including Nenflare, into a barony, he was clearly uniting old Comyn estates"".
