Notes - 1 - William's eldest son, Robert, was at the battle of Flodden (where the dead included Sir William Keith of Inverugie, and Sir John Keith of Ludquhairn). This Robert Keith married Beatrix, daughter of John DOUGLAS (Earl of Morton) and died before his father, leaving sons: William, and Robert, Abbot of Deer.
2 - Most sources show him as dying at Flodden. Which means he had 6 children in 8 years.
Robert Keith (son of William Keith and Lady Elizabeth Gordon) was born Abt. 1483 in Dunotter, Kincaid, Perthshire, Scotland, and died September 09, 1513 in Killed at the Battle of Flodden Field, Branxton, Northumberland, England. He married Elizabeth Douglas on January 08, 1505 in Morton, Dumfrieshire, Scotland, daughter of John De Douglas Morton and Janet Crichton.
